Job description:

The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for the proper dispensing of raw materials in adherence and compliance with established quality standards. He/she is responsible for monitoring compliance with the FEFO/FIFO scheme.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Checks and monitors the suitability of dispensing and batching areas prior to weighing and batching of raw materials.

· Checks and monitors the suitability of dispensing tools prior to the process. Makes necessary corrections/recommendations based on observation.

· Monitors raw materials quality status, to ensure that every raw material to be used has passed QC testing prior to use.

· Checks and monitors re-test dates of raw materials to ensure product quality.

· Monitors and counter checks raw materials to identity based on QC control numbers and correct weights based on MBR during dispensing or batching prior to issuance to production.

· Ensures that correct identity and control number is recorded in the Manufacturing Batch record (MBR) and dispensing slips to ensure traceability.

· Monitors the compliance of raw materials warehouses to established storage conditions.

· Ensures that weighing balances are properly calibrated according SOPs, and daily monitoring is performed and recorded.

· Routinely checks for the consistency and compliance to FEFO/FIFO scheme.

· Issues alert notices in cases of deviations. Prepares incident/deviation reports for CAPA

· Maintains a records of deviation in storage and processes.

· Monitors process and personnel on the adherence to good manufacturing practice (GMP) and good storage practice (GSP)

· Undertakes any other duties, either for this department or any other department within the division, which may be assigned by the QA Supervisor.
