About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our Travel and Expense team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accounting excellence, team development, and continuous process improvement.

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee key areas including expense reimbursements, corporate credit card administration, and disbursement functions. You will also be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies, and contributing to the financial close process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide direction to the Travel and Expense Reimbursement team.
  • Oversee daily operations within the Expense Payables department.
  • Manage the administration of Corporate Credit Card programs (Travel, Meeting, and Purchase Cards).
  • Supervise related teams such as Utilities and Store Maintenance/Repair.
  • Coordinate with Distribution Center Accounting teams on invoice processing, accruals, and prepaid inventories.
  • Oversee check disbursement activities and ensure timely payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounting books.
  • Perform account analysis and recommend/implement necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance departmental processes and efficiency.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop departmental staff.
  • Provide policy guidance on invoice routing and Accounts Payable procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within a large organization, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows; advanced PC and database skills required.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • High level of integrity and sound business ethics.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
  • Must be detail-oriented and a proactive problem solver.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php70, Php75,000.00 per month
