DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Management

  • Supervise, assign and delegate daily tasks and responsibilities to maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct regular training to ensure staff are updated on technical and safety standards.
  • Prioritize and assign to staff job orders from other departments.

Building Maintenance

  • Oversee the general maintenance and repair of hospital buildings, facilities, and grounds.
  • Ensure that electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and elevator systems are fully operational and regularly serviced.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and schedules.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all hospital equipment and infrastructure.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and assessments to identify potential issues before they become critical.

Equipment and Machinery Evaluation

  • Evaluate hospital machinery and equipment for appropriate actions, maintenance needs, and replacement requirements.
  • Coordinate with outsourced service providers, contractors, and suppliers for the timely repair, servicing, or replacement of hospital equipment and infrastructure as required.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all hospital engineering operations comply with the standards of the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and other regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate documentation, audits, and inspections related to engineering, facilities, and safety compliance.

Sewage and Water Systems Monitoring

  • Monitor the efficiency and compliance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
  • Perform water sampling, analysis, and submit results to relevant authorities as required.

Permit Processing and Documentation

  • Handle the preparation and processing of permits, licenses, and other documentation required for hospital engineering operations.

Energy and Resource Management

  • Monitor and manage hospital utility systems including but not limited to water and electricity.
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost-efficiency improvements.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted with adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in hospital emergency preparedness planning and implementation.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly, including power failures, equipment breakdowns, and structural damage.

Project Supervision

  • Assist in the planning and execution of hospital renovation, expansion, or new construction projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure engineering specifications are met.

Inspection Presence

  • Be present during inspections by DOH and other government agencies, ensuring compliance with all technical and engineering standards.

Operational Updates

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, incident logs, and project updates to the Engineering Department Head and Hospital Administrator.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php26, Php30,000.00 per month
