Job Description:

The Repair Technician – Engine is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engine systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with the technical team to deliver timely and quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose engine problems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
  • Perform repairs and replacements of engine components, including fuel systems, ignition, cooling, and exhaust
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to avoid future breakdowns
  • Test engines after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Maintain accurate repair records and documentation
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to improve repair processes
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies during all repair tasks
  • Assist in inventory management for spare parts and tools

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, technical/vocational training, or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
  • Proven experience as an engine repair technician or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of engine systems, parts, and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Good communication skills and teamwork attitude
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual work
  • Willingness to work onsite and possibly flexible hours
