A telemarketer is a sales professional who sells products or services over the phone. They engage with potential customers, answer inquiries, provide information, and persuade them to purchase or use the company's offerings. This involves both cold calling and handling inbound calls from interested customers. Telemarketers also need to maintain customer databases, track interactions, and follow up on leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling: Engaging with potential customers to promote and sell products or services.
  • Lead Generation: Identifying and qualifying potential customers through various methods, including cold calling.
  • Product Knowledge: Developing a strong understanding of the products or services being offered to effectively communicate their benefits.
  • Customer Interaction: Handling inbound calls, answering questions, and addressing concerns from potential customers.
  • Relationship Building: Establishing rapport with customers to build trust and encourage them to make a purchase.
  • Closing Sales: Guiding customers through the sales process and securing their commitment to purchase.
  • Database Management: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and updating customer information in a database.
  • Reporting: Tracking sales data, performance metrics, and providing regular reports on activities.
  • Following up: Contacting existing customers for repeat business or to follow up on previous interactions.

Essential Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for conveying information effectively and persuasively.
  • Active Listening: Understanding customer needs and concerns by actively listening to their inquiries.
  • Sales Techniques: Knowledge of sales strategies and techniques to effectively close deals.
  • Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to build positive relationships and address concerns effectively.
  • Product Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the products or services being sold.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude during interactions.
  • Time Management: Effectively managing time to handle a high volume of calls and tasks.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software, databases, and other relevant tools.

Graduate of any 4-year business course

With at least 1 year of work experience but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
