Job Description
About the Role
The Growth & Profitability Analyst will be critical in driving profitability by managing total shop investments, optimizing pricing, and leading cost-saving initiatives. Hiring this role ensures tighter control over margins and supports sustainable growth of Shopee Supermarket's retail business.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee total PnL performance of Shopee Supermarket's retail assortment
  • Optimize pricing and discounting strategies to drive sales and improve margins
  • Lead cost-efficiency initiatives, including operations optimizations and strategizing for the Buy Team's negotiations with suppliers
  • Monitor key financial metrics and ensure alignment with growth and profitability targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance commercial and pricing levers
  • Analyze sales trends, pricing strategies, and category performance to recommend actionable insights for business expansion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in e-commerce, business analytics, financial management, or consulting, with exposure to Profit & Loss (PnL) management or commercial strategy.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with internship experience in e-commerce, business analytics, financial management, or consulting, with exposure to Profit & Loss (PnL) management or commercial strategy.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for driving growth and impact.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (eg. Excel, SQL, or similar platforms) is a plus.
