Job Title: Accountant (Remote - PH-based)
About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in Venture Capital Fund Accounting or related investment accounting. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO)—with NetSuite experience as a plus—and is comfortable using advanced Excel formulas to support reporting and analysis. A strong customer-service mindset, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with using AI tools for productivity are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant reporting standards.
  • Perform accounting for venture capital funds, investment portfolios, capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
  • Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, schedules, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update accounting systems, primarily QBO and NetSuite.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, nested formulas) for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide a high-quality customer service experience when addressing inquiries or clarifications.
  • Use AI tools to enhance efficiency in data processing, documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and procedural improvements.
Qualifications

  • Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally in VC fund accounting or other investment-related accounting fields.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO); NetSuite proficiency is a strong advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
  • Experience handling customer service or stakeholder communication in a professional setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in work or personal tasks.
  • High level of English proficiency, both written and verbal.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems commonly used in U.S. companies.

  • Experience working in a SaaS, startup, or venture-capital environment.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or international accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with automation tools or macros.
  • Prior experience working in remote/offshore teams.
