Accounting Assistant/Collections Analyst

Financial Transactions & Record Keeping

  • Manual Bookkeeping: Write accounting entries into manual ledgers and journals (i.e. general journal / ledgers, sales, purchases, cash receipts and cash disbursements) from electronic database (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Reconciliations: Performing bank statement reconciliations and reconciling general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Collections & Accounts Follow-Up


• Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, or formal notices.


• Negotiate and arrange mutually acceptable payment plans following company policies.


• Track and document all collection actions, commitments, and customer interactions.


• Monitor aging of accounts receivable and follow escalation procedures for severely delinquent accounts

Reporting & Compliance

  • Financial Reporting Assistance: Generating various financial documents, such as summaries, reports, and basic financial statements, for management review, as needed.
  • Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll processing by verifying employee hours, benefits deductions, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Tax Assistance: Supporting senior staff with tax preparation and filing, such as VAT or sales tax returns.

Administrative Support

  • Filing & Organization: Organizing and maintaining both digital and physical financial files and records.
  • Communication: Responding to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing or payments.
  • General Office Tasks: Performing various administrative duties such as handling mail, answering phones, and managing office supplies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in finance, billing, or collections is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
