Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company's only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent – Exploration to lead our exploration initiatives and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our resource development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery, delineation, and advancement of mineral resources across OceanaGold's tenement portfolio.
• Oversee the planning and execution of exploration programs, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
• Identify and evaluate new exploration opportunities, conducting geological, geochemical, and geophysical assessments and surveys.
• Analyze geological data to generate, evaluate, and prioritize exploration targets, maintaining a robust and dynamic exploration pipeline.
• Design and implement drilling programs that optimize exploration outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship to geoscience teams, fostering a high-performance culture and professional development.
• Coordinate exploration and drilling activities with internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of exploration activities for internal review and regulatory compliance, including statutory submissions.
• Utilize and interpret geological modeling and GIS software to develop 2D maps and 3D models that support exploration decision-making.
• Liaise with government agencies and local communities to support exploration initiatives and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Protective Services, Criminology, Security Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in security management and leadership roles.
• Proven track record in overseeing complex security operations.
• Extensive experience in intelligence and investigations, including counterintelligence and collaboration with authorities.
• Strong background in loss control, security assessments, and crisis management.
• Experience in compliance and management system coordination aligned with international standards.
• Demonstrated capability in incident response and special operations planning.
• Knowledge of executive protection planning and implementation.
• Preferred: Former member of the national police or armed forces with a background in security operations and risk management.
• Certified Security Professional or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Valid License to Exercise Security Profession as a Security Officer or higher.
• Valid Driver's License.
