About the Job
The Continuous Improvement Officer plays a key role in supporting the organization's continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, assisting in the development and implementation of improvement strategies, and monitoring the progress of improvement projects. The officer collaborates with different departments to support process optimization efforts that drive performance, efficiency, and employee engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing business processes and identifying inefficiencies or improvement areas
- Support the development and implementation of CI initiatives under the guidance of the CI Manager
- Conduct data collection and root cause analysis to support problem-solving efforts
- Document and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process workflows
- Collaborate with process owners to support process redesign and implementation
- Assist in conducting CI-related training and workshops for employees
- Track and report on the status and outcomes of improvement initiatives
- Support the facilitation of Kaizen events, process reviews, and post-mortem analysis
- Participate in benchmarking activities to identify best practices
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of CI dashboards and performance metrics
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Continuous Improvement Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process analysis
- Preferred: Certification or training in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Candidates must have knowledge of Six Sigma methodology
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, process mapping, and workflow documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and process visualisation tools
