As a full-time Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our café by managing the procurement of all necessary supplies and materials. This position is central to the success of our business, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about procurement and logistics.

What you'll be doing

  1. Analyze inventory levels and forecast future purchasing needs to maintain optimum stock levels
  2. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms on all purchased goods
  3. Manage the purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with a network of reliable suppliers
  5. Implement and monitor procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
  6. Collaborate with the operations team to align purchasing activities with business needs
  7. Provide regular reports on purchasing activities, spending, and inventory levels

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the food and beverage or retail industry
  2. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize inventory and purchasing
  4. Proficient in the use of procurement software and inventory management systems
  5. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
