
Paralegal - Employment Law (US Law Firm, WFH)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
Salary: P50,000 - P60,000
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on various employment law issues, including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and workplace safety.
- Assist attorneys with pre-claim investigation, case intake, and initial case assessments.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production of documents), and other legal documents related to employment law cases.
- Manage and maintain electronic case files, ensuring all documents are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court appearances.
- Assist attorney with witness preparation, including conducting interviews and gathering relevant information.
- Prepare and manage exhibits and evidence for trial.
- Maintain case calendars and deadlines and keep attorneys apprised of upcoming events.
- Perform legal research and analysis to support the development of case strategy.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- May assist with filing court documents electronically
- Openness to other tasks the management might assign
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or associate's degree in paralegal studies preferred.
- Minimum 2-3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on employment laws.
- Strong understanding of employment law principles and practices.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and editing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to deadlines.
