Job Description: Automotive Group Retail Manager

The Automotive Group Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing daily retail operations of the dealership or automotive group while directly engaging in car sales activities. This role combines leadership, customer management, and frontline sales performance. The manager ensures exceptional customer service, drives sales targets, supervises staff, and maintains strong relationships with customers and partner institutions.

Key Responsibilities-Retail Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the dealership or assigned branches.
  • Ensure dealership facilities, vehicle displays, and promotional materials meet brand standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, including coordination of incoming units, stock availability, and vehicle allocations.
  • Coordinate with after-sales, service, and parts departments to ensure smooth customer experience.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and manufacturer standards.

Sales Management & Performance

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for car units and related products.
  • Create and implement sales strategies, promotions, and local marketing activities to increase showroom traffic.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, conversion rates, and customer metrics.
  • Manage and mentor sales staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and coaching.

Customer Relationship & Service

  • Maintain strong customer relationships and handle escalated concerns professionally.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction scores (CSI) through excellent service delivery.
  • Follow up with leads, prospects, and existing customers for repeat and referral sales.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with finance and insurance (F&I) partners to support customer applications.
  • Monitor financial performance, expenses, and profitability of the retail operation.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and operational summaries for senior management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales and operational goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings, training sessions, and team development activities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, integrity, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Marketing, Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in automotive retail sales, dealership management, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of car sales processes, financing, and dealership operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
  • Professional, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
