What You'll Do

The Guidance Associate supports the delivery of guidance and counseling services by assisting with administrative tasks, coordinating student programs, maintaining records, and providing basic student support. The role promotes student welfare, mental health awareness, and career guidance under the supervision of licensed guidance professionals.

• Administrative Support

• Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Guidance Office.

• Maintain and organize student records, counseling logs, and confidential files.
• Prepare letters, memos, reports, and other documentation as required.
• Handle office supplies and inventory related to guidance programs.

• Student Services Assistance

• Assist in the scheduling and coordination of counseling appointments.

• Provide students with initial information or basic guidance on common concerns and refer complex issues to the Guidance Counselor.
• Help facilitate orientations, seminars, and workshops on mental health, wellness, and personal development and all programs that falls under guidance/wellness.
• Support the administration of guidance assessments, surveys, and evaluation tools.

• Program Coordination

• Assist in planning and executing school programs such as but not limited to:

• Mental health and wellness activities
• Career guidance and job placement programs
• Values education activities
• Anti-bullying campaigns
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth program implementation.

• Data Management and Reporting

• Collect, encode, and analyze data related to guidance services, counseling sessions, and student activities.

• Help prepare statistical reports and summaries for school administration and external reporting (e.g., CHED compliance).

• Student Support and Engagement

• Serve as a friendly and approachable point of contact for students seeking guidance services.

• Promote awareness of available guidance programs and resources.
• Assist in crisis situations by notifying appropriate personnel and ensuring students' safety and well-being.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Guidance and Counseling, or related field. Candidates must be those taking up their Masters in Guidance and Counseling and will take their licensure for Guidance and Counseling.
• Preferably with experience working in a school guidance office or related setting.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic data encoding.
• Familiarity with CHED regulations and reporting requirements is an advantage.
