About the Role
We are looking for a people-focused L&D and Engagement Manager to help us build a culture of growth and connection at Klaiya. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business goals and employee needs, ensuring our team has the tools, skills, and motivation to thrive. You will be the architect of our internal culture, helping us align our talent with our vision while making sure every employee feels valued and supported.

What You Will Do
Grow Our People (Learning & Development)
- Design impactful training: Create and deliver engaging training programs that solve real problems—whether it's closing a skills gap today or preparing for the future.
- Spot the needs: Work with teams to identify where we need to grow and design learning paths that align with our business goals.
- Onboarding success: creating a welcoming and effective onboarding experience that helps new hires settle in and feel part of the team from day one.
- Measure success: keep track of how our training programs are working and tweak them to ensure they are truly helpful.
Elevate Performance
- Guide, don't just manage: Oversee our performance management system, transforming it from a "box-checking" exercise into a genuine tool for growth.
- Goal setting: Support leaders and employees in setting meaningful goals (KPIs and OKRs) that matter.
- Constructive conversations: Provide structure and coaching to make performance reviews productive and forward-looking.
Keep Our Best Talent (Retention & Strategy)
- Build career paths: Help us identify high-potential employees and create clear pathways for their future leadership and success.
- Recognition: Design initiatives that celebrate wins and ensure our team feels recognized for their hard work.
- Succession planning: Partner with leadership to ensure we are preparing the next generation of leaders within the company.
Champion Our Culture (Engagement)
- Bring us together: Plan and organize company-wide activities that strengthen team bonds and reinforce our values.
- Be the voice of culture: Act as a "Culture Champion," promoting inclusivity, motivation, and open communication.
- Listen and act: Facilitate open channels for feedback so employees feel heard, connected, and safe.
Who You'll Work With?
Collaboration is key to this role. You will have a strong support network:
- Reporting Line: You will report to the HR Manager, with strategic guidance from the Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer.
- Key Partners: You will coordinate closely with Department Heads, the Core Leadership Team, and the HR Team.
- Your Audience: You will collaborate with all employees to assess needs and facilitate learning.
Qualifications:
- Experience: You have roughly 2-3+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Management. (Bonus points if you've worked in E-commerce or a fast-paced environment).
- Education: A background (Degree) in HR, Psychology, Business, Education, or a related field.
- The Skills: You are an excellent communicator and facilitator who understands adult learning principles and how to turn data into actionable strategies.
- The Mindset: You possess high emotional intelligence (EQ), cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for people.
- The Tech: You are comfortable using digital tools like Lark, Google Workspace, and related HR systems.
