JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Reporting Analyst supports the end-to-end financial close process, contributing to the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal control policies. This role operates within a shared services environment, providing support to multiple legal entities across hotel operations, property management, leasing, and restaurant businesses. The analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring process integrity, supporting internal controls, and assisting with audit readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Close & Reporting

  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities for multiple entities under the Hospitality Development Unit.
  • Perform accurate and timely recording of General Ledger (GL) entries in accordance with IFRS/Philippine GAAP.
  • Draft HDU consolidated and assigned individual entity financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and analyze trial balances, variance reports, and contribute to management commentary.

2. General Ledger Management

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring selected accounts across entities and business segments (including adding new GL accounts, deactivation, etc.).
  • Perform journal entry processing, account reconciliations, and support subledger integrations from other teams (AP, AR, Tax, etc.).
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances, and potential discrepancies.
  • Contribute to GL reviews, clean-up activities, and assist in resolving discrepancies across business units.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls as per the Controls Group framework (including the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process).
  • Assist in collaboration with Internal Audit, EMO, FMO, and other enabler teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Support the remediation of control deficiencies identified during internal/external audits.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business unit finance teams across hotel, property, leasing, and restaurant operations.
  • Work closely with other teams, especially Operations teams, for reporting and data integrity alignment.

5. Process Improvement & Systems

  • Contribute to process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting and GL functions.
  • Participate in ERP upgrades or implementations, ensuring strong GL controls and data mapping.
  • Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support ongoing training and knowledge transfer within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is a strong plus.
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, or audit roles.
  • Experience in a shared services environment, preferably within a hospitality industry, is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NOAH, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig
