About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (CPA) to join our team at Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corporation's office located in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a full-time Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  1. Overseeing the entire accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  2. Preparing and analysing financial statements, budget reports, and other management reports to support decision-making
  3. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  4. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and accounting procedures
  5. Supervising and mentoring the accounting team, providing guidance and training as needed
  6. Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives
  7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency

What we're looking for

  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
  2. Preferably Female.
  3. Proficient in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  6. Proven experience in managing and developing an accounting team
  7. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
