About the role

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering - Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines, Inc'. in Lipa City, Batangas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and maintenance of critical equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead a team of technicians and engineers in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximise equipment uptime and performance
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues in a timely manner
  • Design and oversee the fabrication of custom equipment and tooling to meet production requirements
  • Ensure all fabrication work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members to continuously improve their skills
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and project progress
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a fabrication or equipment engineering role, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of technicians and engineers
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software, machining tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment-related issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
