BMS Operator Job Description

As a BMS Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal functioning of building systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for building occupants.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks for HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system alarms and faults promptly.
  • Analyze data from the BMS to identify trends and optimize system performance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for any repairs or upgrades.
  • Document all maintenance activities and system updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and building occupants.

Qualifications

  • College diploma; technical diploma or certification in HVAC, building automation, or a related field preferred.
  • With or without experience in operating and maintaining building management systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems and including BMS Operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in using microsoft office.
