PRINCIPAL / JOB PURPOSE

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing efficient systems, processes and machines that will result in high-quality products. He/she does this by studying the requirements of each production process and product, and determining the most efficient method to do so while taking into consideration how the manufacturing processes will impact the environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·      Meeting with production teams to assess existing processes.

·      Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.

·      Performing risk assessments.

·      Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.

·      Performing optimization tests.

·      Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality.

·      Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process.

·      Providing the Product Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures.

·      Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.

·      Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience (Years and Area/s)

:

3 years extensive experience in manufacturing environment

Optional Experience (Years and Area/s)

Technology Proficiency

:

Microsoft Office, Auto CAD will be an advantage

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

·      Basic knowledge of industrial and other engineering principles.

·      Effective in the use of Lean Methodologies and Continuous Improvement.

·      Ability to perform optimization with continuous improvement mindset.

·      Effective analytical and critical thinking skills.

·      Strong communication, problem solving, interpersonal and team-work skills.

·      Ability to manage multiple tasks and able to work under pressure.

·      Responsible, independent, creative and sense of urgency.

·      Willing to learn.

·      Good computer skills and proficient using Microsoft Office, Auto-cad.

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

·      Good verbal and written communication skills.

·      Can adapt to changing technologies and learn functionalities of new equipment.
