Summary

Shall be responsible for ensuring implementation and compliance with applicable, laws, rules, regulations, internal policies, procedure and guidelines of the Company including the Anti-Money Laundering Act, as amended, Counter Terrorism Financing and other financial crimes. Directly responsible for implementing standards, policies, methodologies, guidelines or procedures for testing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test adequacy of controls in place within the business and to identify potential and actual breaches
  • To escalate regulatory breaches to the respective Head of the Department or Division, and Senior Management through the Head of Compliance Department in order that the appropriate action can be undertaken to rectify.
  • To monitor the action taken to address or rectify the noted breaches and prepare or produce monitoring reports to both Business and Senior Management relevant to Compliance Monitoring and Review.
  • Manage the planned production, delivery and completion of compliance monitoring plans
  • Develop and maintain the ability to support decision with sound reasoning, supported by laws, rules, regulations or internal policies or best practices and understand the business risk to articulate business and regulatory implications in relation to the findings
  • Maintain and keep of abreast of applicable regulatory issuance and relate to the conduct of compliance testing.
  • Other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
