What you'll do

The Facility Architect is responsible for the overall architectural design, planning, and management of company facilities and infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and design concepts, while ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company requirements. The Facility Architect coordinates with engineers, consultants, and contractors to oversee construction, renovation, and space utilization projects. This position also contributes to facility improvement initiatives, sustainability planning, and ensures that all architectural solutions support operational efficiency, employee well-being, and corporate branding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design & Planning

  • Develop architectural concepts, layouts, and designs for facilities, buildings, and workspaces.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and design documents.
  • Ensure designs meet functionality, safety, sustainability, and aesthetic requirements.

Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors during design and construction phases.
  • Review and approve architectural drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and standards.
  • Facility Development & Improvements
  • Plan and oversee renovations, retrofitting, and facility upgrades.
  • Conduct space planning to optimize workplace layouts and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend design solutions to improve building performance and sustainability.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Implement green building practices and energy-efficient design principles.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports, design presentations, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain updated architectural documentation for facilities and projects.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate with management, end-users, and other stakeholders to align facility design with organizational goals.
  • Provide expert advice on architectural and facility-related issues.

Quality & Safety Oversight

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction quality and design compliance.
  • Address and resolve architectural and facility-related issues during project execution.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in architectural design, facility planning, or construction projects.
