Role overview:

Support our AI initiatives on a part-time basis. You will craft and refine prompts for large language models, configure and fine-tune speech-recognition (Whisper) systems, and evaluate automatic speech recognition (ASR) outputs. Work closely with the development team to integrate LLMs and ASR into our products, and analyze model performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and optimize prompts for LLM-based services (e.g. GPT-family models).
  • Configure and fine-tune Whisper or similar ASR models for transcription tasks.
  • Evaluate and annotate ASR outputs for accuracy and identify improvement areas.
  • Write Python scripts for data preprocessing, model evaluation, and API interaction.
  • Integrate AI/ASR APIs with backend services and document usage guidelines.
  • Stay updated on NLP/ML best practices and emerging AI tools.

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI development.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) and prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with speech/audio processing (e.g. Whisper, Kaldi, DeepSpeech).
  • Ability to analyze model outputs and experiment with parameters.
  • Degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred skills/experience:

  • Experience with cloud AI/ML services (e.g. Google Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker).
  • Knowledge of fine-tuning ML models and data annotation processes.
  • Background in computational linguistics or signal processing.
  • Publications or contributions in NLP/AI projects.
  • Ability to work asynchronously and manage projects part-time.

Location: Initially remote; occasional on-site work in BGC (Taguig) when needed.
