Job Description: Training Specialist (Collections)

Job Summary:

The Training Specialist for Collections is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to improve the performance, skills, and compliance of collection agents. The role focuses on product knowledge, collection strategies, customer handling, and adherence to company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct training programs for new hires and existing collection agents

• Facilitate onboarding, refresher, and upskilling sessions related to collections

• Train agents on effective collection techniques, negotiation, and customer communication

• Ensure agents understand company policies, procedures, and compliance standards

• Create and update training materials, modules, and assessments

• Monitor agent performance and recommend training interventions

• Conduct coaching, feedback sessions, and skills enhancement activities

• Coordinate with Operations and QA teams to address performance gaps

• Track training completion and maintain training records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• At least 1–2 years experience in collections, training, or a related role

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge of collection processes, tools, and best practices

• Ability to analyze performance data and identify training needs

• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in lending, finance, or BPO collections

• Coaching and facilitation skills

• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards
