I. Job Summary: This role is responsible for managing the specific category assigned to him/her whether Fresh, Food, or Non-food. Oversees the total category in terms of sales, margins, and days of inventory. He/She is the front-liner in buying new items, and is also responsible for maintaining the product mix or assortment of the category he/she handles.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and develops assigned category.
  • Manages product assortment and portfolio under assigned category.
  • Front-liner in initial buying and evaluates products introduced by suppliers.
  • Handles business building negotiations.

III. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree holder of Business Administration/Management related courses.
  • With at least three (3) of relevant work experience in Category Buying, Merchandising, or Purchasing in food, retail, or other related industries.
  • With good communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Amenable to work (onsite) at Waltermart Head Office at North Edsa/ Muñoz, Quezon City.
