Role Description

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that both the company's internal operations and its network of franchisees comply with applicable Philippine laws, including LGU permits and licenses, environmental laws, health and safety standards, FDA regulations, Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations, and other industry-specific compliance requirements. This role will involve processing, monitoring, guiding, and auditing the company's compliance efforts and those of its franchisee partners to maintain operational integrity, and safeguard the company's reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Internal Compliance Management -

  • Ensure company's compliance with Philippine laws and regulations, including but not limited to LGU permits and licenses, FDA, BOC, environmental laws, health and safety standards, and other local industry-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across all business functions.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on changes in Philippine law and regulations and provide guidance to management on potential risks and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to CFO and Management on the status of internal compliance, including audits results.

Franchisee Compliance Overseeing -

  • Monitor franchisee's compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop and execute a franchise compliance program that includes regular audits, assessments, and reviews of franchisee operations in relation to local regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to franchisees in meeting compliance requirements, answering questions, and offering training on regulatory matters.
  • Ensure franchisees comply with regulatory obligations and hold them accountable for any non-compliance through corrective actions and penalties.

Compliance Audits -

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of both the company and franchisee's operations to assess compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, and recommended corrective actions for both internal and franchisee operations.
  • Track and monitor progress to ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions by the company and its franchisees.

Monitoring and Reporting -

  • Maintain a centralized compliance reporting system to track the status of compliance, audits, and corrective actions for both company and franchisee operations.
  • Prepare reports for Management (and regulatory agencies, as required) on the status of compliance efforts.

Others -

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that compliance is integrated into day-to-day business processes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for franchisees on compliance issues.

Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years working experience in a similar field
  • At least one (1) year working experience in a supervisory role
