Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, injections, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as mobility support, hygiene, dressing, and feeding, as required.
  • Monitor and document the patient's health condition, with particular focus on CKD-related symptoms (e.g., blood pressure, fluid retention, electrolyte levels).
  • Administer prescribed treatments and therapies, including dialysis care coordination (if required), dietary management, and medication schedules specific to CKD.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive kidney-focused care.
  • Provide guidance to the patient and family members on renal-friendly diets, fluid intake, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Educate the patient and family on recognizing early signs of CKD complications such as anemia, hypertension, or infections.
  • Ensure proper infection control practices during care and the handling of any medical equipment (e.g., catheters, dialysis ports).
  • Offer emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to help manage the psychological challenges of chronic illness.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, especially those related to kidney disease complications.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Licensed/Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent qualification [adjust depending on local regulations].
  • Proven experience in private/homecare nursing, preferably with patients suffering from CKD or other chronic illnesses.
  • Female candidate preferred for cultural/personal care requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care, and kidney disease management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail.
  • Flexible schedule, with availability for night shifts, weekends, or live-in arrangements as required.
