Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Application Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software testing, strong analytical skills, and experience with automation frameworks and tools. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure the highest level of quality in our web applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, debug, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Utilize automation testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, or SoapUI.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Collaborate with the development team using version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for web applications and APIs.
  • Document and communicate test results clearly and effectively.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in at least one programming language: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.

Testing Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to design, develop, and execute test cases effectively.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development environments.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and propose effective automation solutions.
  • Keen attention to detail and quality assurance.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player who can work with cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of producing detailed documentation and test reports.

Aptitudes:

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging tools and technologies.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-driven and proactive in identifying opportunities for test optimization.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
  • Certifications in automation tools or relevant technologies.
