As an IT HELPDESK ADMINISTRATOR, you'll be monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks within an organization in a technical support role. If there are any issues or changes required, such as forgotten passwords, viruses or email issues, you'll be the first person employees will come to.

Tasks can include installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical problems, either over the phone or face to face.

Most importantly, as businesses cannot afford to be without the whole system, or individual workstations, for more than the minimum time taken to repair or replace them, your technical support is vital to the ongoing operational efficiency of the company.

You may also be known as a helpdesk operator, technician or maintenance engineer.

You could work for software or equipment suppliers providing after-sales support or companies that specialize in providing IT maintenance and support. Alternatively you may work in house, supporting the rest of the business with their ongoing IT requirements.

Job Description:

Support the end user community with desktop applications, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting Internet connection, network protocols, and printing issues in an effective and efficient manner using all available resources.

Support critical IT resources by providing onsite assistance to Network Operations on internal and external networks, AD and email systems, and Intranet communication.

Working with shops Managers/staff to identify computer and machines problems and advising on the solution thru calls and remote access.

Responsible for the repair, allocation, and delivery of all IT equipment to business operating teams, corporate departments, and executive staff.

Maintain data inventory for computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and network equipment and other company properties.

Work closely with IT management to develop and implement improved desktop support and business practices.

Maintain and document policies and procedures within established standard.

Diagnose and troubleshoot incidents in remote and local while attempting to resolve the majority on your own.

Communicate the status of incidents and progress made in terms that business stakeholders will be able to understand.

  • Maintain system documentation and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Manage applications to monitor service uptime and performance.

  • Maintain and Support IT Infrastructure for the company.

  • Provides on-call service out of hours on a rotation if required.

  • Any other duties which may be added from time to time.

Role Requirements:

  • Willing to work on shifting hours

  • Knowledgeable of Windows Server Active Directory set-up management, Network troubleshooting, anti-virus administration

  • Candidate must be willing and capable to move, lift, and transfer workstations, monitors, and computer peripherals around.

  • Candidate must be willing to work on rotating shifts which includes work on weekends and holidays.

  • Good communication skills both verbal and written, can converse in English

  • Able to adapt quickly to changes

  • Has high attention to details

  • Process oriented

  • Ability to think outside of the box
