Technical Support Engineer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Address staff or client concerns through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone to help resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Respond to requests or incidents within agreed time limits
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritize and manage open cases at one time
  • Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as infrastructure team
  • Test and evaluate new technology when required
  • Replace equipment/parts as required

EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably 1-4 years experienced employee specializing in Technical & Helpdesk Support or equivalent.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
