We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our server and system environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires strong technical expertise across on-premise and cloud environments, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
  • Manage and support Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Work within a ticketing system to resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues
  • Ensure operational consistency by following IT procedures and standards; update documentation as required
  • Maintain records of repairs, downtime, and configuration changes
  • Participate in OS changes, upgrades, and version updates
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning initiatives
  • Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting for future needs
  • Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning when required
  • Perform software licensing and inventory management
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours global support
  • Work in a hybrid environment with both on-premise servers and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Collaborate with software engineers, operations teams, DBAs, network teams, helpdesk, and external vendors to ensure reliable IT operations

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 2+ years of experience in server administration and networking
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
  • VMWare experience required (certification a plus)
  • Cloud deployment and administration experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Strong understanding of system security with a "security-first" mindset
  • Experience in replication, distribution, availability, recovery, and deployment
  • Familiarity with PCI and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and support multiple projects while handling daily incidents
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation

Work Environment
  • Office-based setting with occasional off-hours and weekend work
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineers, operations, DBAs, network team, helpdesk, project managers, vendors, and business partners
