  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in heavy equipment working closely with mechanics and the Mechanical Engineer.
  • Evaluate repair vs. replacement options for electrical components, recommending cost-effective, downtime-minimizing solutions.
  • Assist in selecting between OEM, aftermarket, or refurbished electrical parts, considering compatibility, cost, and availability.
  • Support electricians during repairs by helping them understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Work with mechanical engineers, mechanics, and electricians to write reports on equipment issues, diagnosis, and recommend solutions to the management and other relevant departments.
  • Handle electrical parts sourcing by canvassing suppliers and coordinating procurement with the supervisor.
  • Keep clear and complete records of all electrical issues, repairs, and recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with electrical safety codes, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Support preventive maintenance planning and execution for electrical components of equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and reliability of procured electrical parts and make sure they meet company standards.
  • Propose and actively participate in process improvements of the Engineering department.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by her superior.
