As the Lead Assistant Manager of HR Operations, your role is to extend support to Senior Manager - HR Operations with the implementation and execution of various HR Operations services. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient HR processes, a positive employee experience, and alignment with corporate values and objectives. As a strategic partner and hands-on leader, the Senior Manager will drive operational excellence in areas including development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and deliver efficient and effective HR services. This position will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive, compliant, and engaging workplace that supports business goals and organizational success.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- HR Policies and Procedures: Creation and revision of HR policies, aligned with organizational goals, legal requirements, and industry best practices. This also includes regular policy reviews and updates to maintain compliance.
- HR Compliance and Legal Adherence: Maintain HR practices' compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry trends, while accounting for and responding to potential risks and legal issues.
- HR systems and processes: Oversight of HR systems and practices' implementation and maintenance. This includes the following: data management, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and continuous evaluation and improvement of processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Employee data management: Ensure employee records are kept accurate, secure, and compliant with data protection regulations. Streamline data management processes through implementation and maintenance of employee records.
- HR analytics and reporting: Generate meaningful insights and report on key HR metrics (employee turnover, recruitment effectiveness, training needs, etc.) driven by HR analytics. Present findings to senior management and make data-driven decisions.
- Employee relations: Support and guide employees and managers through HR-related issues, such as performance management, employee grievances, and conflict resolution. Foster a healthy work environment with positive employee relations through strategy implementation.
- Continuous improvement: Stay informed about emerging HR trends and best practices. Proactively identify areas for improvement within HR operations and recommend process enhancements, automation, and technology adoptions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in HR operations or a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing HR processes and procedures. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in HR, with a focus on HR operations, employee relations, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience in a shared services or BPO environment is highly desirable but not required
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team and driving operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with analytics tools is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Change Management: Skilled in guiding teams through changes, including process improvements and system implementations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze and leverage HR data to drive improvements and business outcomes.
