PLAS Enterprises and Engineering Services is looking for an Accounting Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in cash handling, auditing, or financial control is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and internal control procedures.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
  • Ability to detect discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular and surprise audits of petty cash fund.
  • Review petty cash vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents for accuracy and validity.
  • Verify that all petty cash transactions are properly authorized and within policy limits.
  • Reconcile the petty cash ledger with actual cash on hand and documentation.
  • Report discrepancies or irregularities in petty cash handling to management or the finance department
  • Ensure the petty cash custodian follows proper cash handling and documentation procedures.
  • Prepare monthly expenses reports.
  • Assisting BIR Audit.
  • Assist in preparing company audit reports and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Monitor fund replenishment processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • ADHOCS related to the job.
