Key Responsibilities:Statutory and Regulatory Reporting: Independently manage and complete statutory financial reporting deliverables and regulatory requirements for life insurance companies, including quarterly exhibits, schedules, and annual separate account financial statements. Financial Statement Management: Participate in the financial statement close process, manage related party activity reporting, and oversee updates to related party agreements. Quarterly Reconciliations and Ledger Management: Monitor untagged accounts, coordinate quarterly ledger close, prepare account reconciliations, and resolve variances for both life and non-life insurance companies.

Board Material Preparation and Special Projects: Compile and analyze financial statements for Board materials, assist with audits, and work on special projects and departmental initiatives. Process Improvement and Cross-Training: Maintain strong process documentation, identify and implement process improvements, provide cross-training, and support new product financial reporting implications. Qualifications:Undergraduate degree concentrating in Accounting; CPA is an advantage6 years of accounting, preferably in life insurance

Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on a night shift schedule

Skills to Hire/Must Haves:Accounting and Financial Systems Expertise: Knowledge of accounting/ledger systems and financial reporting processes, including tools like Essbase/SmartView. Deadline Management and Problem Solving: Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and proactively address and troubleshoot issues using sound judgment.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong influencing and negotiation abilities. Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical, organizing, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency improvements and accountability. Technical Proficiency and Independence: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the ability to quickly learn new applications, and the capability to work independently while integrating with international team members.
