A Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role often serves as support for the accounting team, supporting various functions such as general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting to prepare Philippine tax returns and other diligence items

  • Assisting with audit preparations

  • Manage accounts payable and make records of deposits and transfers in bank accounts, domestic and international

  • Record operational expenses and issue payments before the due date

  • Assist in general finance day-to-day responsibilities

  • Manage petty-cash account

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting/finance related roles.

  • Has basic knowledge of Philippine tax and business.

  • Excellent organizational and recording skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookup, and others)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information

  • Experience in public accounting firm or BPO environment
