Key Responsibilities

  • Printer Setup & Operation: Configure and operate 3D printers based on specific job requirements.
  • Material Management: Load raw materials (e.g., filaments, resins) and monitor their usage during the printing process.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, calibrate machines, and address technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Inspect printed parts for defects, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Post-Processing: Conduct finishing tasks such as sanding, polishing, or painting to achieve the desired final product appearance.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of print jobs, machine performance, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and materials.
  • CAD Software Knowledge: Ability to work with computer-aided design (CAD) software to interpret and modify designs.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure precision in print jobs and identify potential issues promptly.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Diagnose and resolve technical problems that may arise during the printing process.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively collaborate with team members and report on project statuses.

Education & Experience

  • Educational Background: A diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience operating 3D printers is advantageous, but some positions offer on-the-job training for candidates with a strong technical aptitude.
