Job Summary:

The MIS (Management Information Systems) Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the hotel's information systems and data infrastructure. This role ensures accurate reporting, system security, and supports various departments with technology solutions to improve efficiency and decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

System Management & Maintenance:

  • Ensure system availability, performance, and security across all platforms.
  • Oversee daily backups, system updates, and data recovery protocols

Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Analyze data to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.

Technical Support & Training:

  • Provide IT support to hotel staff.
  • Train end-users on new software, upgrades, or IT policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or IT consultants when required.

Network & Security Management:

  • Monitor LAN/WAN performance, ensuring secure and stable internet connectivity.
  • Enforce cybersecurity protocols, including antivirus management, firewall monitoring, and user access control.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with IT-related local laws and hotel brand standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, licenses, and support agreements.
  • Document procedures, system configurations, and backup schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an MIS or IT Officer role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems (e.g., Opera PMS, MICROS, SunSystems, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and report generation tools.
  • Good understanding of network and server infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
