Assistant Outbound Manager

Specific duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the DC Manager in overseeing outbound operations, ensuring timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders from the cold storage facility.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams, carriers, and warehouse staff to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all outbound shipments, including compliance with safety and temperature control regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of outbound processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that products are picked and packed according to specific temperature and storage requirements.
  • Manage the coordination between inbound and outbound departments to ensure smooth product flow.
  • Perform regular checks on product inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for outbound orders.
  • Ensure the cold storage environment is properly maintained to preserve the quality and safety of perishable goods during shipping.
  • Manage outbound shipping schedules and resolve any issues related to delays or discrepancies in orders.

Training and Requirements:

  • Health and safety protocols for cold storage environments.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA) and emergency response procedures.
  • Training on temperature monitoring and compliance with cold storage standards.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least two (3) years of experience in outbound or warehouse operations, preferably in a cold storage or FMCG environment.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and dispatch operations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work on-site and flexible with work schedules.
