The Management Accounting Associate Lead plays a critical role in providing timely and accurate financial insights to guide business decisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. This role combines management accounting and supervisory responsibilities — from preparing and analyzing key financial data, to overseeing accounting operations and ensuring effective cost management and reporting.

Reporting to the Management Accounting Supervisor, the Associate Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business unit leaders to support strategic decision-making, drive efficiency, and strengthen financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Statement of Changes in Equity).
  • Perform cost, pricing, break-even, margin, and other analyses to support business decisions and enhance profitability.
  • Assist in creating financial projections, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Regularly review the assumptions used in calculating costs and pricing, and suggest changes or process improvements whenever feasible.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Logistics, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure accurate importation cost reporting and pricing models.
  • Provide management with actionable insights through data-driven reports and trend analysis.

Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Supervise and guide accounting team members, ensuring adherence to policies and timelines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Develop and maintain accounting controls by recommending and updating financial policies and procedures.
  • Support digital transformation efforts by adopting and maximizing financial systems and tools.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
  • CPA License is an advantage
  • At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in management accounting, cost accounting, or general accounting.
  • Preferably with experience in a related industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and GSuite applications, familiar with Excel Macro and Google Apps Script
  • Proficient in communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • Technically proficient i.e. tech savvy.
