Responsibilities & SkillsJob Summary:Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Analyzes equipment to establish operation data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. May also review vendor capability to support development.
Creates high-quality analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital layouts. Requires at least 5 years of proven in-depth experience in custom and semi-custom layout of various IPs including memory, array cells, analog and mixed-signal blocks, Serdes, and chip-level layout integration. Responsibilities include IP layout ownership, sector and FC physical integration support, and methodology improvement participation.
Duties include custom layout implementation of ECOs and LCOs, physical verification (DRC, LVS, ESD, DFM, Ant, PERC, EMIR), technical issue resolution, stakeholder communication, and task administration. AccountabilitiesFull ownership of IP layout, resource projection, schedule management, and sign-off documentation for Final Design Review. Work effectively with circuit designers to understand and implement layout constraints.
Collaborate with EDA group on CAD tool and flow issues. Hold layout quality reviews of completed cells, IP blocks, sector, and FC physical integration. Consider device matching, noise, shielding, ESD, and latch-up in layout design.
Run and analyze LPE, pre/post-layout simulations. Required SkillsAt least 5 years of solid industry experience in Custom Layout Engineering. Experience in custom layout of IP blocks up to full chip layout using Cadence Virtuoso and verification with Siemens Calibre.
Experience in EM-IR analysis and debugging with Cadence Voltus. Experience in generating LPE.Automation skills (e.g., Cadence SKILL scripting) are a plus. Experience with FinFET technology nodes is a plus.
