IC Layout Engineer Job

The position of IC Layout Engineer involves designing and implementing physical layouts of GPIO blocks. This requires compliance with design rules and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design layout for GPIO circuits based on schematics and design guidelines.
  2. Perform floorplanning, device placement, and routing of transistors, pads, ESD structures, and guard rings.
  3. Ensure DRC, LVS, and ERC compliance.
  4. Implement ESD protection and follow latch-up prevention measures.
  5. Collaborate with circuit designers to meet performance, timing, and reliability requirements.
  6. Support parasitic extraction (PEX) and assist in post-layout simulation.
  7. Contribute to top-level pad ring integration and interface with multiple power domains.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement for layout methodologies and automation flows.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IC layout engineering, with exposure to GPIO or I/O cells.
  • Strong knowledge of physical verification and parasitic extraction.
  • Familiarity with ESD protection techniques and latch-up prevention.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
