SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The role ensures that goods and services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time, supporting the organization's operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Monitor stock levels, perform regular audits, and forecast future needs.
- Ensure accurate records of stock movement and inventory control.
- Logistics & Distribution:
- Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and delivery of goods.
- Monitor and improve logistics processes to reduce lead times and costs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
- Data & Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory, procurement, and logistics.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and production teams.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and external suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- With at least 1 year of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
