JOB SUMMARY:

Provides reporting and analytical support to the transportation functions in the US to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of deliveries.

Collaborates with the US Distribution teams and third-party logistics (3PL's) providers to collect transportation data and ultimately analyze these statistics and information. Prepares reports of findings of audit points. Joins the functional teams in evaluating plans, programs and projects to meet transportation objectives.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

DATA COLLECTION

  • Gathers daily delivery information from the system.
  • Liaises with the 3PL's to capture the following information pertaining to the deliveries:
  • Shipment information
  • Proof of Delivery details
  • Road consignment notes (CMR)
  • Delivery address changes

REPORT GENERATION AND ANALYSIS

  • Based on the data collected, generates the following reports:
  • Monthly metrics for freight payment which includes an audit report of actual transportation rates used vs. defined rate grid.
  • Orders with consolidated deliveries.
  • Analyzes and proposes improvements based on report findings:
  • Works with the US Distribution team to find ways to address disparity on transport rates.
  • Recommends order consolidation approaches that results in more economical truck loading.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree holder
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience
