Job Description

  • Develop operational reports and dashboards.
  • Build automated reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Understand business requirements to define functional specifications for reporting applications.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools such as SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX.
  • Ability to quickly transform data into reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Create functional reports.
  • Knowledge of database fundamentals, including multidimensional and relational database design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Technical experience in Power BI, data preparation, data gateways, and data warehousing projects.
  • Background in data engineering, visualization, business intelligence, or data science.
  • Knowledge of data management, modern data warehousing, and ETL principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, and solving complex business problems with large datasets.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work in a curious, analytical environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand business requirements and design data models for insights.
  • Create dashboards and interactive reports with Power BI.
  • Identify and monitor KPIs.
  • Analyze data and generate reports for decision-making.
  • Convert business needs into technical specifications and manage timelines.
  • Develop and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analysis.
  • Use DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
  • Document data algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships.
  • Conduct data warehouse development and SQL querying.
  • Use filters and visualizations for data understanding.
  • Analyze and improve ETL processes.
  • Make technical enhancements to BI systems.
