The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Lead to oversee our Manila-based development team. This role is integral to designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable digital products that support our global investment platform.

You will lead a team of Software Engineers and QA professionals, offering both strategic and hands-on technical guidance. Partnering closely with our London Digital Solutions team, you will help shape architectural direction, drive execution on key initiatives, and champion continuous innovation across our systems worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Manila software engineering team, promoting collaboration and technical excellence.
• Work with the London Digital Solutions team to define system architecture, engineering standards, and implementation strategies.
• Oversee the development of both client-side and server-side applications using modern frameworks and cloud-based technologies.
• Support the evolution from multiple standalone systems to a unified, scalable platform for data acquisition, analytics, and reporting.
• Ensure high-quality delivery through strong coding standards, security practices, automated testing, and documentation.
• Drive the adoption of AI-enhanced tools and automation to improve engineering efficiency.
• Manage sprint planning, release milestones, and communication with stakeholders across global teams.
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends in cloud engineering, AI, and modern software development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong full-stack proficiency, with deep backend experience in Python (Django, DRF) and frontend skills in React and TypeScript.
• Experience leading hybrid or distributed teams in an Agile environment.
• Solid understanding of APIs, system integration, cloud architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools such as pandas and scikit-learn, especially in engineering workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.

Work Setup

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (PH Time)

Arrangement: Manila-based, fully remote with occasional meetups
