We are seeking detail-oriented and strategic ACCOUNTING MANAGER to lead our accounting operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. Experience in retail accounting, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and multi-location operations, is essential.

Basic Purpose/Job Summary

Responsible in handling the statutory compliance and management reporting of the Company's subsidiaries/entities

Qualifications

  • With a bachelor's degree, major in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Must have at least 7 years of relevant work experience with full knowledge of general accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, taxation, and budgeting.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications and SAP
  • Must be highly organized with keen attention to details
  • With strong interpersonal skills, cutting across all levels of an organization
  • Must have a good command of the English language and be able to communicate well, both in oral and written forms
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, and hardworking
  • Must be willing to work in Ortigas Center, Pasig City

Job Description

  • Planning, organizing, directing, and conducting the operations of the accounting department
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies in accordance with acceptable accounting standards
  • Responsible for the roll-out and maximum utilization of the company's computerized accounting system (SAP)
  • Reviews preparation of journal entries, reports, and schedules to ensure data accuracy of financial reports provided to Management (including the preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedules such as aging schedules, lapsing schedules, amortization schedules, and other balance sheet and income statement reports)
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of statutory and month-end management and other reports in compliance with RFRS
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly/annual forecast and annual budget
  • Recommends process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processing and reporting
  • Manage, train, and supervise activities of staff, if any.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned or as may be required by the job

Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 9am to 7:30 pm

Work Arrangement: Mon - WFH; Tue to Fri - onsite
