Core Function: Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of an organization's financial reporting. They provide leadership and oversight to the financial reporting team, overseeing the entire financial close process and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

· Lead and manage a team of financial reporting professionals

· Delegate tasks, provide coaching, and ensure team members meet deadlines

· Foster a collaborative and professional work environment

Financial Reporting:

· Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

· Review and approve journal entries and complex account reconciliations

· Ensure all financial reporting adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other relevant accounting standards

· Compile and analyze financial statements, identifying variances and trends

· Communicate financial results to management and senior leadership

Compliance and Controls:

· Maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data

· Liaise with external auditors during audits

· Ensure financial reporting complies with statutory requirements and SEC regulations (if applicable)

Additional Duties:

· May assist with budgeting and forecasting

· Prepare financial reports for external users

· Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures

· Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting

· Strong understanding of GAAP or other relevant accounting standards

· Experience with financial reporting software and accounting systems

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Proven leadership and supervisory abilities

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
