  • Develop, review and validate electrical designs including schematics, layouts, and load calculations, drawing and technical specs.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation,(estimate/costing, specifications, BOQs -Bill of Quantities, and technical reports)
  • Prepare electrical load computations, cable sizing, and panel board schedules.
  • Review and approve electrical designs prepared by junior engineers or contractors.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Oversee, supervise and coordinate electrical installations on-site, including wiring, switchgear, lighting systems, transformers, and power distribution systems to ensure alignment with project plans and timelines.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide on-site solutions during installation and commissioning.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation required for project turnover
  • Ensure proper documentation for as-built plans and operation and maintenance manuals
  • Maintain updated records of plans, permits, material submittals, and inspection logs.
  • Monitor project budget and assist in managing costs, ensuring minimal deviation from the initial estimates.
  • Mentor junior office/ site engineers, providing training and guidance on best practices and professional development.
  • Promote continuous learning and adherence to industry trends, standards, and technologies within the electrical team.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Report project updates, challenges, and milestones to the top management.
  • Perform OTHER DUTIES as assigned by the department.
