The Jr. Production Engineer provides technical and operational support in the manufacturing of HDPE pipes and fittings. The role assists in ensuring that production activities run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. Working closely with senior engineers and production supervisors, the Junior Production Engineer contributes to process improvement, quality assurance, and equipment performance monitoring to achieve optimal production output at Krah Pipes Manila, Inc. (KPMI).

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Monitoring: Assist in monitoring daily production operations to ensure adherence to established process parameters, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Process Optimization: Support the improvement of pipe extrusion and fabrication processes to enhance efficiency, reduce material waste, and improve product consistency.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain production-related documents such as process flow sheets, daily reports, and machine performance logs.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying root causes of production issues (e.g., machine downtime, product defects) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process studies, trials, and improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational excellence.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience in plastic extrusion, pipe manufacturing, or fabrication processes is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, machine operation, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules and be assigned in the production area as needed.
